PCB is the abbreviation of Printed Circuit Board, which Chinese translated as Printed Circuit Board, which is one of the most basic and important components in the electronics industry. It is a plate-like carrier made of insulating substrates (such as glass fiber, resin, etc.), which is used to form conductive lines and pads on the surface or inside through a specific process, which is used to realize the electrical connection between electronic components and provide physical support for the components.

The core composition and structure of a PCB
1. Basic Components
Insulating substrates
Commonly used materials: FR-4 (glass fiber epoxy, most common), aluminum substrates (used in heat dissipation scenarios, such as LED luminaires), ceramic substrates (high-frequency or high-reliability scenarios, such as aerospace equipment), flexible substrates (polyimide, used in flexible circuit board FPCs).
Purpose: Supports conductive lines and provides electrical insulation.
Conductive lines (copper foil)
The etching process is used to form copper circuits on the substrate, which act as the "neural networks" of electronic devices and are responsible for transmitting current and signals.
Copper foil thickness: 18μm, 35μm, 70μm, etc., thick copper foil is used in high-current scenarios (such as power modules).
Pad and vias
Pad: The position where the component pins are soldered, and the surface is usually coated with an anti-oxidation coating (such as tin spraying, immersion gold, OSP, etc.).
Vias: Holes that run through the substrate, filled or plated with copper inside, and used to connect wires in different layers to achieve three-dimensional conductivity.
