PCBA stands for Printed Circuit Board Assembly, which is one of the core processes in the electronic manufacturing industry. It refers to the process of soldering or installing electronic components (such as resistors, capacitors, chips, connectors, etc.) onto a printed circuit board (PCB) through a series of techniques, forming a complete electronic component with specific functions.

Composition and core elements of PCBA
Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
Composed of insulating substrate, conductive lines, and solder pads, it is the physical support and electrical connection carrier of electronic components.
Common types: single panel, double-sided board, multi-layer board (such as 4-layer, 6-layer, 10 layer board, etc.), the more layers, the more complex the circuit design.
Electronic components
Active components, such as integrated circuits (ICs), microprocessors (CPUs), transistors, etc., require external energy to operate.
Passive components: such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, connectors, etc., can function without the need for a power source.
Packaging form: divided into two types: through hole plug (THT) and surface mount (SMT). The latter has become mainstream due to its advantages of miniaturization and high density.
assembly process
By using processes such as solder paste printing, mounting, reflow soldering (SMT process) or plug-in, wave soldering (THT process), components are fixed on the PCB and electrically connected.
Key equipment: SMT machine (high-speed and precise placement of components), reflow soldering furnace (high-temperature melting and soldering to complete welding), AOI (automatic optical inspection equipment for welding quality inspection).
